Sixers star big man Joel Embiid named to 2022 All-NBA Second Team

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid earns All-NBA Second Team honors for his work in the 2021-22 season.

The Philadelphia 76ers have two of the more talented players in the league in Joel Embiid. The big fella can impact the game in many ways and he is a big difference-maker for the Sixers when he is on the floor.

The Sixers would not have nearly the same success in the 2021-22 season if it wasn’t for Embiid dominating the way he did on a nightly basis in order to lead Philadelphia on the floor. The big fella led the league in scoring with 30.6 points per game along with 11.7 rebounds while shooting 49.9% from the floor as his efforts earned him All-NBA Second Team honors.

Embiid is joined by Ja Morant, Stephen Curry, DeMar DeRozan, and Kevin Durant on the team.

Denver Nuggets big man, and reigning 2-time MVP, Nikola Jokic was named to the All-NBA First Team.

The Sixers have their serious talents in Embiid and James Harden and now the challenge is to put the right pieces around them in order to properly contend for a title. They were not able to do so in 2022 when they were bounced out of the semifinals by the Miami Heat.
