Sixers star Ben Simmons out for 5th straight game vs. Thunder

Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons will miss his 5th straight game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Philadelphia 76ers are in the midst of a 4-game losing streak as they return home on Monday to host the Oklahoma City Thunder. They had themselves a tough weekend on the road as they dropped both games to the Milwaukee Bucks while being shorthanded.

Things are not going to get much easier on against the Thunder as they will be without Ben Simmons again with a non-COVID illness. Coach Doc Rivers believes it is the flu as he he will miss his 5th straight game. The Sixers have dropped the first four games without Simmons as they have not been able to figure out a way to get a win without him.

The Sixers will probably turn to George Hill to start in Simmons’ place as they did so over the weekend in Milwaukee.

Hopefully, Joel Embiid will be able to return as he is questionable with right shoulder soreness. Tobias Harris, Furkan Korkmaz, and Paul Reed are also listed as questionable.

Tip-off from Wells Fargo Center is set for 7 p.m. EDT.
