The Philadelphia 76ers will be a very short-handed bunch when they take on the Boston Celtics on Friday. They already knew they would be without Joel Embiid, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Danuel House Jr. due to a variety of injuries and illnesses, but now they will be down two other starters.
Tyrese Maxey was downgraded to questionable shortly before the game and after going through warm-ups, he has now been ruled out. Along with Maxey, the Sixers will also be missing Nic Batum. The veteran left the loss to the New Orleans Pelicans due to right finger soreness, and he was listed as probable for this contest, but he now has been ruled out as well.
