The Philadelphia 76ers continue waiting on the return of Kelly Oubre Jr. The versatile forward out of Kansas is dealing with a rib fracture after being struck by a vehicle on Nov. 11. He has missed 10 games.
He is traveling with the Sixers on their current road trip. Though he missed Wednesday’s loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, there was hope Oubre would be able to return against the Boston Celtics.
However, the Sixers on Thursday ruled Oubre out for Friday’s game. There is hope he could return to the floor against the Washington Wizards on Dec. 6.

Oubre is averaging 16.3 points and 5.1 rebounds. He is shooting 37.8% from deep on the season. The Sixers are missing Oubre’s ability to play on both ends of the floor, leaving Philadelphia to piece a stopgap together until the veteran can return. The Sixers are 5-5 in the 10 games without him.
