Sixers rookie Tyrese Maxey works out with Hawks guard Rajon Rondo

Philadelphia 76ers rookie Tyrese Maxey has been working out with Atlanta Hawks guard Rajon Rondo.

The Philadelphia 76ers appeared to have found a nice player at 21 in the 2020 NBA draft with the selection of Tyrese Maxey out of Kentucky. He has lottery talent, but he somehow slid to the Sixers and the team got themselves a nice player.

Maxey can do all of the things the team currently needs such as putting the ball on the floor and creating for himself and others and he also has an insane work ethic that will keep him in the league for a long time.

On Thursday, there was another example of his work ethic as he was up at 5:45 in the morning working out with Atlanta Hawks guard Rajon Rondo. The 2-time NBA champion was working on a couple of his moves and it looks like Maxey is looking to emulate a few of his moves.

Another big move for Maxey on Thursday was that he signed his rookie deal with the team. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed by the Sixers, but having him under contract is important for them.

He will also wear number 0 for Philadelphia after wearing number 3 in college. He can’t wear his college number because a certain 6-foot guard from Georgetown retired the number.

Now that the rookies are under contract, they must now get to the facility and join the team for training camp. [lawrence-related id=39798,39781,39766]
