While the Philadelphia 76ers are chasing an NBA title, they also have the development of their young players in mind. While one rookie, Matisse Thybulle, is up making an impact at the NBA level, the other rookie is making his mark on the G League.
Marial Shayok, the 54th overall pick in the June draft, is making a big impact with the team’s G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats. He’s averaging 35 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 32.7 minutes per game in three games and his work has helped him earn the Player of the Week award for the first week of play in the G League.

On top of that, Shayok is shooting 48.7% from the floor and he’s showing off some range on his jump shot shooting 33.3% from deep. He had an impressive showing in the season opener for Delaware as he dropped 34 points and then followed that up by scoring 42 points the next night.
