Sixers rookie Marial Shayok drills cold blooded 3-pointer for the win

Philadelphia 76ers rookie Marial Shayok continues to make big plays in the G League.

While the Philadelphia 76ers are dealing with a ton of injuries up and down their starting lineup, there is one rookie who is trying to make a name for himself.

Rookie Marial Shayok has been putting in the work in the G League with the Delaware Blue Coats all season, but on Monday, the rookie showed off a clutch gene.

With the game tied at 102 late in the fourth, Shayok grabbed the ball, rocked his defender to sleep and he drilled a deep 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Blue Coats past the Capital City Go-Go 105-102. He finished with 19 and he shot 5-for-9 from deep on the night.

With the Sixers dealing with a lot of injuries at the moment, maybe Shayok can eventually earn a call up to the Sixers and an opportunity. He is averaging 22.4 points and he is shooting 36.5% from deep with Delaware.

In other Sixers prospect news, Zhaire Smith had eight points, four rebounds, and three assists as he continues his development. Both Smith and Shayok could eventually earn call ups to Philadelphia if the injuries continue to pile up. [lawrence-related id=26979,26971,26962]
