After the Boston Celtics ousted the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series, most assumed they would waltz to the finals. Their opponent, the No. 8 seed Miami Heat, had something to say about that. They took a 3-0 lead in the series.
Considering no team has ever rallied from a 3-0 deficit to win the series (teams are 0-150 all-time), most called this series over. Everybody penciled the Heat into the finals to take on the Denver Nuggets.
Instead, Jayson Tatum and the Celtics have buckled down, and they are looking to force a Game 7. After two impressive wins to rise up off the mat, they will pay a visit to Kaseya Center down in Miami on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. EDT and look to force a Game 7 back in Boston.
The Sixers, while sitting at home watching, will be looking to use this latest playoff shortcoming to be better in the 2023-24 season and continue on their championship quest.
