Sixers rival watch: Jayson Tatum, Celtics force Game 7 vs. Heat

Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics rally from 3-0 deficit to force Game 7 against the Miami Heat.

The Philadelphia 76ers are out of the playoffs, so it’s time to see what their rivals around the league are doing.

The Boston Celtics, who defeated the Sixers in Game 7 in the conference semifinals, trailed the Miami Heat 3-0 in the Eastern Conference finals, but on Saturday, they rallied to force a Game 7.

On the road in Game 6 on Saturday, the Celtics beat the Heat, 104-103, as Derrick White tipped in a miss at the buzzer. Boston was led by Jayson Tatum with 31 points, 11 rebounds and five assists.

The Celtics look to make history on Monday. If they win Game 7, they will be the first team to rally from a 3-0 deficit to win a series. A team trailing a series 3-0 is 0-150 all time in NBA playoff history.

The Sixers may be done, but the Celtics and the Heat are rivals on their own championship path. Joel Embiid and Co. understand who they will have to overcome in the East.
