Sixers rewind highlights: Tyrese Maxey drops 38 points vs. Raptors

We rewind the clocks back to the playoffs when Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey dropped 38 on the Toronto Raptors.

With the 2022-23 season getting set to begin, it’s time to look back at some of the top moments for the Philadelphia 76ers in the previous season.

This edition takes it back to Game 1 of the first round of the 2022 playoffs. There was significant anticipation for the Sixers, who began the playoffs with Joel Embiid and James Harden leading the way. Their first-round opponent, the Toronto Raptors, offered plenty of challenges, but young Tyrese Maxey made the game look easy.

Maxey dropped 38 points on 14-for-21 shooting, and he knocked down five 3s. Philadelphia ran away with a 131-111 win and took a 1-0 series lead.

Maxey had a great deal of success against the Raptors despite his smaller stature and the fact Toronto offers the length and size to deter him from getting to the rim. It was an impressive showing in his first career playoff start in a big moment.
