Sixers rewind highlights: James Harden makes debut vs. Timberwolves

We rewind the clock back to when James Harden made his Philadelphia 76ers debut against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In the depths of the offseason, August is a good time to take one last look at the Philadelphia 76ers’ 2021-22 season before everyone’s attention turns to the new season that begins in October.

Today, we take everybody back to February when the Sixers acquired James Harden from the Brooklyn Nets. Harden was unable to play in the final games before the All-Star break due to a nagging hamstring injury, and he was finally ready to make his debut against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Harden and the Sixers began play on Feb. 25 in Minneapolis and the atmosphere was different. The Beard was wearing Philadelphia colors, and he had 27 points with 12 assists while knocking down five 3s and pulling down eight rebounds in an easy 133-102 win.

Now that Harden has had a full summer to be able to rest his hamstring and be able to bond with his new team, the expectation is that he will be more comfortable and help lead the Sixers to much more success in the 2022-23 season.
