Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey has been a busy man over the past few days. He was able to help the team acquire Danny Green and Seth Curry to being in more shooting plus the team had a solid draft and they made a shrewd signing.
The team brought in Dwight Howard on a 1-year $2.6 million deal in order to find a quality backup for Joel Embiid. It’s a terrific deal on paper to bring in a proven guy who just won a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers playing in a bench role for them.
As training camp gets set to begin on December 1, it is time for players to come back to their home markets. Howard arrived in Philadelphia on Monday and he was picked up by Morey himself to welcome him to the city.

Howard averaged 7.5 points and 7.3 rebounds with 1.1 blocks in 18.9 minutes off the bench for the Lakers. He can bring in a lot of experience and it will allow coach Doc Rivers to be able to rely on him to give Embiid a rest. [lawrence-related id=39406,39403,39400]
