We continue our look back at some of the better recent playoff performances for the Philadelphia 76ers as the new season gets closer and closer to the beginning in December. This one takes us back to Game 6 against the Toronto Raptors in the 2019 semifinals.

The Sixers were staring elimination right in the face after a lackluster performance in Game 5 on the road and they had their backs against the wall. They needed their talented roster to step up to the plate and fight for another day and their veteran leader did so in a big way.

Jimmy Butler set the tone for Philadelphia early and he went for 25 points with eight assists and six rebounds. He was aggressive early and often and he demanded the most out of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid in this one. Simmons added 21 points, eight rebounds, and six assists while Embiid had 17 and 12 rebounds in a 112-101 win to force a Game 7 back in Toronto.

Butler, Simmons, and Embiid did enough to get Philadelphia to Game 7, but of course, everybody remembers the Kawhi Leonard shot that broke the heart of every Sixers fan at the buzzer. That shot propelled the Raptors to eventually win the championship while the Sixers underwent a big offseason makeover after Butler left for the Miami Heat. [lawrence-related id=38980,38974,38971]
