It’s the offseason, so players are relaxing after a long season and doing what they feel like doing to decompress. Some hang out with family while others may go on vacation or work out in their free time.
Philadelphia 76ers big man Paul Reed, who enters an interesting offseason after his 2024-25 contract became non-guaranteed, will head to Brazil to coach as part of the Basketball Without Borders program.
This isn’t the first time Reed has done something similar. He was a part of the Sixers Youth Foundation’s basketball camp during the summer of 2023, serving as a coach to help brighten kids’ days.
Sixers backup center Paul Reed will coach at Basketball Without Borders São Paulo, Brazil this weekend.

Reed’s contract became non-guaranteed for the 2024-25 season becaue of the team’s first-round exit from the playoffs. It would have been guaranteed had the Sixers advanced past the New York Knicks. It will be interesting to see what becomes of his future in Philadelphia.
