Sixers new earned edition jerseys revealed, will debut March 14

The Philadelphia 76ers will have a new “earned edition” uniform they will debut on Sunday.

At this point of the season, it’s time for the NBA’s jersey maker, Nike, to come up with the earned edition uniforms for the 16 teams that made the playoffs in 2020. It is a uniform to signify they earned their spot in the postseason.

The Philadelphia 76ers were one of those 16 teams, although fans would probably like to forget about the 2020 playoffs. So they will have their own version of the earned uniforms. The team’s official Twitter account posted the new uniform on Wednesday and the uniform will feature the famous Liberty Bell of the city against a cream-colored design.

The Sixers will debut the earned edition jerseys on March 14 when they host the San Antonio Spurs at home. This will also be the team’s first home game with fans this season. There will be roughly 3,100 fans at the game. The Sixers have been playing in an empty arena due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic.
