As the Philadelphia 76ers get set to take on the Detroit Pistons on Saturday looking to extend their win streak to eight, they will have to do so while being shorthanded. The Sixers will be down a couple of starters as they continue on their quest for the No. 1 seed.
Philadelphia will be missing Ben Simmons and Seth Curry on Saturday with Simmons experience back tightness and Curry is out due to left hip injury recovery. On the second night of a back-to-back, it makes sense to rest those guys.
In their place, Philadelphia will turn to Tyrese Maxey and Matisse Thybulle in the starting lineup.

Joel Embiid will play in this one after being listed as questionable with his left knee injury recovery. Philadelphia is very close to locking up the No. 1 seed so Saturday could be another step towards that goal with a win.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EDT from the Wells Fargo Center.
