The Philadelphia 76ers received some encouraging news on Tuesday as they prepare for their return home on Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons. They will welcome back at least one of their starters after they missed three of them on their road trip.
The Sixers will welcome back Josh Richardson into their lineup when they host the Pistons in an important time for them while Joel Embiid will remain questionable. After a 1-3 road trip where Embiid missed all of it and Richardson played only 10 minutes, the Sixers are now just the 6 seed in the East. With 18 games remaining and 11 of them at home, this is an important stretch to get home-court in the playoffs.

The two of them returned to practice on Tuesday so the team feels like Richardson is ready to get back at it while Embiid still may need some more time.
Detroit would offer a way for Embiid to ease back into things if he were to play. The Pistons play hard, but they don’t have a real matchup for the big man after trading away Andre Drummond at the deadline. So Embiid would be going up against Christian Wood and Thon Maker who, with all due respect, aren’t on the same level.
The Sixers and the Pistons tipoff at 7:00 p.m. EST from the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday. [lawrence-related id=27446,27438,27420]
