The Philadelphia 76ers are already dealing with the loss of Joel Embiid who remains out after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left hand, but now they will be without their starting shooting guard for a little bit.
Josh Richardson left Wednesday’s loss to the Toronto Raptors after suffering a left hamstring strain in the first quarter. After undergoing an MRI on Thursday, it confirmed the strain and he will be re-evaluated in 2-3 weeks.
This is the second time that Richardson has suffered a hamstring injury. He was hampered by a right hamstring injury earlier in the season so this is a tough one for the 5-year veteran out of Tennessee.
MRI on 76ers guard Josh Richardson showed slight strain of left hamstring and he’s expected to be re-evaluated in two-to-three weeks, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

The Sixers will be missing his production as he gives the team 15.0 points and 3.4 assists per game as well as being one of their better perimeter defenders. He is huge when they have to battle against some of the premier guards in the league.
Expect Furkan Korkmaz to receive the starting nod without Richardson available. [lawrence-related id=24097,24082,24072]
