Every major star in the NBA has their own signature shoe to signify their star status in the NBA. Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid has entered that category right now as he has joined Under Armour to release his own shoe called the “Embiid One”.
The shoe recently debuted and the color scheme was to pay homage to his home country of Cameroon. A new edition of the shoe is getting set to be released and it will now pay homage to his time in college with the Kansas Jayhawks.
The shoe takes on a blue and red scheme called “Lawrence” which is where the University of Kansas is located. The new shoe is getting set to drop on Friday.
Under Armour sent over some pics of the new “Lawrence” colorway in Embiid’s signature sneaker that drops this Friday pic.twitter.com/fxXflEzQbR

On the bottom of the sole, the outline of Africa is still present as he also continues to give a shoutout to his home country. It is a nice touch by Embiid to continue to give love to the important parts of his basketball journey. [lawrence-related id=38518,38534,38515]
