Both Baker Mayfield and the Los Angeles Rams have had tough 2022 seasons in the NFL. Mayfield began his season with the Carolina Panthers and he was expected to give them a boost. Instead, he faltered and was recently waived.
The Rams are coming off a season in which they won the Super Bowl behind their big 2020 offseason addition of quarterback Matthew Stafford. They were 3-9 entering Thursday’s game, and Stafford is sidelined by an injury, so the Rams signed Mayfield on Tuesday.
As the defending champs played host to the Las Vegas Raiders, Mayfield engineered a ridiculous 98-yard drive that ended with him throwing a 23-yard touchdown pass to Van Jefferson as Los Angeles shocked the Raiders, 17-16.
Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden was in shock at what Mayfield did and all he could do was laugh.

Harden and the Sixers look to do what Mayfield did and get back in the win column on Friday when they play host to the Los Angeles Lakers.
