The general election is coming up in November and now is the time for everybody to get in on the action and let their voices be heard. The Philadelphia 76ers are intending to be in on the activity as they have offered up the Wells Fargo Center as a voting place, but they now have their own voting initiative.

The Sixers have introduced something called “Vote 76” and they partnered with “More Than a Vote” and others to provide resources in order to educate fans and encourage them to exercise their right to vote. The 76ers are also partnering with local organizations in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey to provide information specific to voters in those three states.

“The right to vote is one of the greatest freedoms we have in this country,” said Sixers President Chris Heck via a press release. “We feel it is our responsibility to educate and encourage everyone from our staff to the local community to use that freedom and exercise their right to vote.”

The Sixers also have an online voting hub that everybody can find here as they look to educate and help others during this time.

“The website was designed to be a one-stop-shop where fans can learn everything they need to know about voting,” said Heck via the same press release. “We want to make the education process both enjoyable and easy for our fans.”

This is an important time in America as everybody wants their opinions to be heard during an important upcoming election that should reshape the country for the next four years. [lawrence-related id=37541,37538,37528]
