Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey out vs. Nets due to adductor tightness

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey will miss Monday’s preseason matchup with the Brooklyn Nets.

The Philadelphia 76ers are in the process of preparing for the 2021-22 season as they continue their preseason schedule on Monday against the Brooklyn Nets. They are currently going through a lot of changes to their roster and the preseason is important for them right now.

They will be heading into this matchup very shorthanded as they are still missing Ben Simmons obviously, but they will also be without Shake Milton, Tobias Harris, and Seth Curry as well. That meant that the only ball-handler on Philadelphia’s roster was second-year guard Tyrese Maxey.

Well, Maxey is now out for the game as well. The young guard from Kentucky will miss the game with adductor tightness and now, the Sixers do not have a real point guard on the roster heading into this one.

At this point, the Sixers will have to turn to either Isaiah Joe or Furkan Korkmaz to handle the point guard duties in this one. Even Danny Green might have to handle the ball and initiate the offense a bit when the teams face off at 8 p.m. EDT from the Wells Fargo Center.
