Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey already back in the gym after season ends

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey already back in the gym to prepare for the 2021-22 season.

On Sunday, Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey wrapped up his rookie season, a campaign in which the young guard showed off his potential to be a regular rotation player. The Sixers seemed to have really found a gem at No. 21 in the 2020 NBA draft.

As Maxey headed into the offseason, he mentioned he was looking to get back in the gym on Friday to prepare for his second season. This comes after a wild first season in the NBA during which he played in 61 games plus the 12 playoff games. That is a lot to handle for a 20-year old rookie trying to adjust to NBA life.

Despite probably needing a rest, Maxey was back in the gym on Friday as he promised. He posted on his Instagram story that he was in the team’s facility early in the morning.

The Sixers had a disappointing ending to the season, but they will have to use it as motivation to move forward. Philadelphia will have to get there as a team and continue to develop the roster moving forward.
