Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris is one of the more reliable players in the league. While he hasn’t quite lived up to the $180 million max deal he received in the 2019 offseason, Harris has been a quiet constant in Philadelphia’s lineup.
In the 2022-23 season, he shot 50.1% from the floor and 38.9% from deep. He was an efficient offensive player the Sixers could rely on next to Joel Embiid and James Harden on a regular basis.
With the 2023-24 season right around the corner, ESPN has ranked the top 100 players in the league, and Harris was ranked No. 83:
Harris hasn’t always had it easy in Philadelphia, but he has now been with the 76ers for 4½ seasons and has admirably filled whatever role asked of him. With coach Nick Nurse in charge and James Harden’s future in question, Harris could get more opportunities to have an impact on offense, something that was not often available to him last year, when he averaged fewer points (14.7) than he had in any season since he played for Orlando and Detroit in 2015-16.
No matter what happens with the Harden situation, the Sixers look to Harris to do more on the offensive end of the floor. He will have to contribute at a high level to help Philadelphia reach its goals.
