Sixers fan ejected after dumping popcorn on Wizards’ Russell Westbrook

Wizards guard Russell Westbrook had to be restrained after a Sixers fan threw popcorn on him as he left the floor.

There was an ugly moment during the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s Game 2 between the Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers when a Sixers fan was ejected after throwing popcorn on Wizards guard Russell Westbrook.

Westbook was seen limping to the locker room after suffering an ankle injury when popcorn was thrown on him from above the tunnel. Westbrook had to be restrained from going after the fan by security guards and Wizards staff.

Westbrook finished the game with 10 points, 11 assists and six rebounds in the 120-95 loss to the Sixers.

The Wizards now trail 0-2 in the series, which heads to Washington for Game 3 on Saturday.
