The Philadelphia 76ers had a list of coaching candidates to replace Brett Brown after seven seasons at the helm led by Tyronn Lue, Mike D’Antoni, and Billy Donovan.
The list just got a little shorter as one of those successful coaches has accepted a position elsewhere.
Donovan, who had five very good seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder, has decided to take the job with the Chicago Bulls. He compiled a 243-157 record with the Thunder and he did wonders with the young talent there so now he will go to Chicago and work with players such as Wendell Carter Jr., Daniel Gafford, and others.
Billy Donovan has agreed to a deal to become the next coach of the Chicago Bulls, sources tell ESPN.

For the Sixers, they must now figure out who the best fit for them is as their next head coach as it will most likely come down to Lue and D’Antoni unless a wild card come out of the blue. General manager Elton Brand will have to decide what works best for Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid moving forward. [lawrence-related id=37811,37812,37808]
