Philadelphia 76ers guard Seth Curry will miss his fourth straight game against the Los Angeles Lakers due to left ankle soreness and the Sixers will have to find a way to figure out how they can find shooting and ball-handling with him off the floor.
Curry has been a big help for Philadelphia with his obvious elite shooting from deep and his ability to handle the ball. The Sixers cannot put that much pressure on second-year guard Tyrese Maxey who still has so much development to go through to reach his full potential.
As the Sixers prepared for the Lakers on Thursday, Curry did get some work in after shootaround that morning. However, coach Doc Rivers said he didn’t get any work in.
“No,” said Rivers. “He did a lot yesterday (Wednesday). He didn’t do much at all. He did some shooting. That’s about it. We were hoping he’d be back tonight (Thursday). That’s not gonna happen so we’re just gonna see the next game and see if he can go.”

The Sixers will host the Sacramento Kings on Saturday for the third game of this current 5-game homestand. That will be the next chance to play for Curry.
“He just wouldn’t have been able to play,” Rivers added. “I don’t even know if this was a playoff game if he would’ve been able to play. We just gotta wait until he feels better.”
