The 2021 NBA Summer League is in the books and it was a productive one for the Philadelphia 76ers. The team went 3-2 out in Las Vegas and they also saw their second-year players take strides forward in their games.
For example, Paul Reed had himself a week and he also became only the second player in the summer league to record a 20-20 game when he had 27 points and 20 rebounds against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He took steps forward on the defensive end as well as a leader out on the floor.
For his efforts, Reed was named to the All-Summer League Second Team. He joins the top two overall picks in the 2021 NBA draft, Cade Cunningham and Jalen Green, Luka Garza, and Patrick Williams on the team.

Now, Reed must take this momentum he has accrued while out in Vegas and bring it with him to training camp at the end of September. He could earn a spot in the rotation if he continues to progress and become a more complete and well-rounded player.
