While the Philadelphia 76ers are dealing with the negotiations of the trade deadline as well as preparing for a big matchup with the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday, their young big man was going to work in the G League.
With Paul Reed with the team’s G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, the second-year man out of DePaul had himself a big performance. Reed had 27 points on 10-for-14 shooting while knocking down all five of his triples with 17 rebounds and two blocks to lead the Blue Coats to a 129-117 win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. It was a very good performance for Reed and the best aspect of it was his 3-point shooting.
The Blue Coats knocked off the Mad Ants today 129-117. Paul Reed finished with 27 points and 17 rebounds with 2 blocks. He shot 10/14 from the floor and he was 5/5 from deep. #Sixers

While Reed had a big game, the Blue Coats were without rookie guard Jaden Springer. He was a late scratch for Delaware due to left knee soreness and while most would speculate things due to the time of year, it seems that he was out just due to the injury.
