Sixers big man Al Horford gives Joel Embiid All-Star shoutout on Twitter

Philadelphia 76ers big man Al Horford gives Joel Embiid some love on Twitter.

The Philadelphia 76ers are a star-studded group and they’re led by their 7-foot big man in Joel Embiid. The superstar big man was officially named an All-Star starter on Thursday for the third consecutive season becoming the first Sixer since Allen Iverson to be named to three consecutive All-Star games.

Embiid is having another great season averaging 23.4 points and 12.3 rebounds on the season and he received some love from his teammate, Al Horford. The veteran big man and Embiid are still working on their chemistry on the floor, but their chemistry off of it seems just fine as Horford recognized his young teammate.

Horford is a five-time All-Star in his own right and his last appearance in the game came in the 2017-18 season with the Boston Celtics.

While he still has a chance to be an All-Star when the reserves are announced on January 30, there is a better chance that the other Sixers All-Star will most likely be Ben Simmons. [lawrence-related id=24110,24104,24097]
