With each passing day and with each rumor continuing to build, it does appear that 25-year old star Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers are headed for a divorce.
Ever since the Sixers were eliminated in Game 7 at home by the Atlanta Hawks on June 20, the calls to move Simmons has grown louder by the day. The embattled star had a miserable postseason where he shot just 34.2% from the line and he took only four shots to score five points in the Game 7 loss.
The Sixers have begun taking trade calls on Simmons and it was revealed that the team wants an All-Star in return, which is understandable considering everything he has accomplished at such a young age. That asking price for Simmons remains steep as the NBA draft continues to approach.
ESPN Sources: Sixers continue to canvass the league for Ben Simmons trades — armed with a steep asking price. Simmons and his agent, Klutch CEO Rich Paul, are in step with a move elsewhere. Draft night is always an ideal vehicle for a deal, but talks could continue into summer.

Simmons is one of the more talented players in the league, but it does seem inevitable that a deal for him is coming soon. The Sixers could use a win-now player around Joel Embiid in order to take advantage of his prime at the moment and they should be using the talented 4-year guard as the main asset to do so.
