Sixers are ranked 8th in latest edition of ESPN’s NBA power rankings

The Philadelphia 76ers come in ranked 8th in ESPN’s latest edition of the NBA Power Rankings.

The Philadelphia 76ers went 3-1 in the latest week of the 2021-22 season, and they are 15-12. They knocked off a pesky Charlotte Hornets team twice on the road. They came home and fell to the Utah Jazz before knocking off the Golden State Warriors.

The matchup with the Warriors was focused on the 3-point shot as Golden State superstar Stephen Curry is still chasing history. Steph is just seven triples away from passing Ray Allen for the most in NBA history. He only shot 3-for-14 from deep against the Sixers as Matisse Thybulle did a terrific job against him.

Still, Steph isn’t even the best 3-point shooter in the family in terms of percentage. His brother, Sixers guard Seth Curry, has a better 3-point percentage than Steph.

In the latest power rankings from ESPN, the Sixers come in ranked eighth with the focus being on the 3-point shot:

Stephen Curry is set to become the NBA’s all-time 3-point leader, but he isn’t the best shooter — by percentage, anyway — in his own family. Seth Curry is a career 44% shooter from deep as compared to 43.2% for his older brother.

The Sixers face the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday to begin another week and continue to grow as a team.
