Provide shooting
This is what Joe was selected for. He was known as a sharpshooter at Arkansas where he shot over 41% from deep as a freshman before it dropped to 34.2% as a sophomore. However, he did take 10.6 triples per game and he also was playing through an injury and those two factors played a role in his percentage drop.
If he can come in and become the shooter he showed at Arkansas coupled with any defense he gives could make him a regular in Doc Rivers’ rotation. Sure, the team has Seth Curry, Shake Milton and Danny Green who they will rely on the most, but Joe is a guy who can absolutely factor into this team’s plan with a strong showing.
