With the 2021 NBA draft 10 days away — July 29 — the Philadelphia 76ers are drafting plans for the No. 28 pick.
The Sixers could use a boost for their wing scoring off the bench and a guy who is not afraid to take and make big shots. In a recent mock draft performed by CBS Sports, the Sixers take VCU scoring machine Nah’Shon Hyland:
Nah’Shon Hyland is a pure scorer who started rising up draft boards following an excellent combine performance. He’s extremely confident, with tremendous range off the dribble, and has shown the ability to hit clutch shots. His offensive game, particularly his playmaking, needs some fine tuning, but he has the ability to provide bench scoring right away for the 76ers while also possessing potential for the future.
The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 19.5 points and he shot 37.1% from deep for the Rams in his sophomore season and he figures to bring those talents to the NBA level. He can be a really solid player for Philadelphia as a guy who can bring that type of much-needed scoring off its bench.
