Sixers 2020-21 season rewind: Joel Embiid drops 50 points on the Bulls

We rewind it back to the time Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid dropped 50 points on the Chicago Bulls.

With the 2021-22 season schedule out and teams looking at what the season could bring, we take one last look at the 2020-21 season and some of the top moments for the Philadelphia 76ers.

For this edition, we take it back to a cold night in February when the Sixers hosted the Chicago Bulls at the Wells Fargo Center. Heading into the night, it seemed one of those ho-hum games in the middle of the regular season, but Embiid had other plans.

The big fella erupted for a career-high 50 points on 17-for-26 shooting while knocking down 15-of-17 free throws. He secured 17 rebounds along with five assists and four blocks in a 112-105 win. He was all over the place, and he did it all to ensure Philadelphia picked up the win.

Embiid will once again be counted on to be the linchpin of the Sixers in the 2021-22 season. Everything this team does will run through the MVP runner-up, so this will have to be another big season from the big fella in order to have the type of success they plan to have.
