The 2019-20 season may not have been what the Philadelphia 76ers and their fans were looking for, but it did have its big moments. This is going to attempt to try and find some joy in a season that did not bring too many of those joyous times.

This edition will focus on big man Joel Embiid who unleashed a big game on the poor Atlanta Hawks on February 24. The Sixers had just returned home after another tough road loss to the Milwaukee Bucks where they also lost Ben Simmons due to a back injury and they needed something to feel good about.

Embiid obliged and had himself a huge night going for a career-high 49 points and 14 rebounds in a 129-112 win over Atlanta. He shot 17-for-24 from the floor and he got to the foul line 15 times as he made it look easy all night long.

It was one of those rare nights where Embiid truly had “fun” on the court in 2020 and he let everybody know after the game. He wanted to focus on getting back to being himself and being that guy and on this night, he looked like he was The Process again. It was good to see for him.
