The 2020 NBA Draft is a little over four weeks away and now is the time for teams to begin breaking down who they will add to their roster. The Philadelphia 76ers have the 21st pick in the draft due to the success of the Oklahoma City Thunder and they have a few options to go with.

The Sixers could go a couple of different routes, but the main route should be bringing in a guy who can shoot from the perimeter as well as create for others. The main names to have been brought up are Tyrell Terry out of Stanford and Desmond Bane out of TCU, but a new name to watch for Philadelphia is North Carolina’s Cole Anthony.

A new mock draft performed by The Ringer has Philadelphia selecting Anthony with that 21st pick:

Anthony is a polarizing prospect, but he undeniably brings the type of perimeter creation skills that the Sixers desperately need to maximize the abilities of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.

Talented shooter. He knows how to relocate off-ball, balance himself midair, and drain off-the-catch 3s. Constant threat to score thanks to his ability to hit stepbacks and pull-ups from all over the floor.
Ambidextrous finisher with hops, body control, strength, and touch; he’s much better than his numbers indicate because of North Carolina’s horrific spacing in the half court, often with two nonshooting bigs on the floor.

Anthony averaged 18.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.0 assists while shooting 34.8% from deep in his freshman season for the Tar Heels. He is a guy that brings an edge to the floor and an aggressiveness that should help a team like Philadelphia move forward. [lawrence-related id=38338,38329,38332]
