Sin City Celtics drop second summer league tilt to the Washington Wizards 103-98

Celtics forward Justin Champagnie had an excellent game with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists.

The Boston Celtics lost their second game of two played in Las Vegas Summer League to the Washington Wizards 103-98 despite a big game from Celtics small forward Justin Champagnie, who had 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists. Unsigned guard Jay Scrubb had another good outing with 15 points off of the bench.

Big man Udoka Azubuike had a breakout game with 14 points and 10 boards, and rookie Jordan Wash tweaked his knee in the game’s opening moments but still managed to put up 12 points for the Summer Celtics. Justin Bean (10 points, 5 rebounds) and Olek Balcerowski (11 points, 4 boards) also provided some help as well.

The Celtics next play the Los Angeles Lakers in Las Vegas Summer League action on Wednesday, July 12th after a short break in play to heal up and lick their wounds.
