The Feb. 8 trade deadline continues to draw closer. The Golden State Warriors are expected to explore their options, and a trade is widely expected among the fans and the media. Golden State’s season has not gone as expected, and a few fresh faces could help turn its season around.
In a recent episode of “Hoops Tonight” with Jason Timpf of “The Volume,” the notion of a trade for Mikal Bridges was floated. Bridges has thrived since being traded to the Brooklyn Nets at the 2023 trade deadline as part of the deal that sent Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns.
This season, Bridges is averaging 21.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists, shooting 45.2% from the field and 35.4% from 3-point range over 42 games. His offensive upside could help re-ignite Golden State’s struggling roster and put it back on track ahead of a key stretch of play after the All-Star break.
