There has been plenty of chatter surrounding whether the Boston Celtics ought to trade away All-NBA forward Jaylen Brown given his eligibility for a supermax contract heading into the 2023-24 NBA season in light of the punitive power of the league’s new collective bargaining agreement.
But another school of thought involves trading veteran point guard Marcus Smart to a similar end, with the hope of bringing back a more traditional point guard, or perhaps to save money.
