Should Bengals target Florida Gators WR Kadarius Toney in 2021 NFL draft?

Could the Cincinnati Bengals target a Florida WR in the 2021 NFL draft?

Much remains undecided about what the Cincinnati Bengals will do in the 2021 NFL draft.

That’s true for the fifth-overall pick all the way through the seventh round at this point. In the opening round, Cincinnati could go offensive line or a luxury pick like Kyle Pitts like a recent mock draft did, provided the team addresses the line in free agency.

Either way, wide receiver is one of those positions that figures to be addressed in a meaningful way before the late rounds, as Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd need a third option with A.J. Green gone.

And Florida wideout Kadarius Toney is a name to watch in the mid-rounds, as noted by Gators Wire’s Jay Markle:

“If they decide to pick up a new weapon for Burrow, Toney is a sensible option. The Bengals quarterback has unbelievable finesse, but his arm strength doesn’t pop. Toney’s ability to wade through traffic like it’s nothing is a natural complement to what Cincinnati’s offense already does well.”

Toney spent the last four seasons with the Gators and really popped last year, turning 70 catches into 984 yards and 10 scores, plus a touchdown as a rusher and punt returner.

He’s now making waves at draft events, too:

Speed and versatility are the names of the game in Zac Taylor’s attack led by Joe Burrow, so Toney is one to watch as the draft process continues.
