Short-handed Rams still open as 1-point favorites vs. Cardinals

The Rams are home favorites against the Cardinals in Week 17 despite being without Jared Goff and Darrell Henderson.

There’s a chance the Los Angeles Rams will be without their leading passer, rusher and receiver when they take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 17. Yet, even with an injury-ravaged offense, the Rams are still favored in the season finale against their division rivals.

At BetMGM, the Rams have opened as 1-point favorites over Arizona in Week 17. The over/under of 38.5 points is the lowest of any game this week, which is the result of the injuries both teams are battling through; Kyler Murray’s status is uncertain due to a lower leg injury.

John Wolford will get the start for L.A. with Jared Goff out, making this his first regular-season action in the NFL. Darrell Henderson is out with a high ankle sprain, too, while Cam Akers is questionable with an ankle sprain of his own.

The cherry on top was Cooper Kupp landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, putting his status in question for the finale. If he didn’t test positive and was only deemed a close contact, he can be activated before Sunday’s game.

A lot hinges on this NFC West tilt. If the Rams win, they make the playoffs. If Arizona wins, it will get in as long as the Packers beat the Bears. If the Rams lose, they’ll need the Bears to also lose to Green Bay.
