[autotag]Sheldon Creed[/autotag] announced in early October that he would leave the No. 2 Xfinity car for Richard Childress Racing and pursue a new opportunity in 2024. It was a shocking move that not many expected out of Creed as he made the Round of 8. On Friday morning, the current Richard Childress Racing driver provided an update on his plans for the 2024 season.
According to Creed on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, he has been signed to a new contract for a few weeks and believes it will be his best opportunity yet. This comes after a report that Creed is expected to join Chandler Smith at Joe Gibbs Racing for the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. If this ends up being the case, it would undoubtedly be Creed’s best equipment.
Creed has yet to win in the Xfinity Series but Joe Gibbs Racing would certainly increase the probability of it happening in 2024. The organization is one of the best in NASCAR and almost every driver seems to find success in the equipment. For a driver of Creed’s caliber, it could be the stepping stone to an even brighter future in NASCAR.
