Shaq responds to Draymond Green trash talk: ‘I would have torn your (expletive) up’

Another debate about who would have beaten whom.

Draymond Green already has an ongoing feud with Inside the NBA analyst and Hall of Famer Charles Barkley.

Now, he’s sparking something up with another member of the Turner crew and another Hall of Famer in Shaquille O’Neal.

I wouldn’t say this one is as fiery as Chuck vs. Dray. It’s more about what we hear from NBA players in different eras — which superteam would have beaten which superteam?

It all started when the Golden State Warriors forward said on the the All the Smoke podcast and Steph Curry would have “destroyed” O’Neal with the pick-and-roll.

O’Neal came back on his own The Big Podcast and had this to say (as transcribed by CBS Sports):

“I like Draymond. I like guys that voice their opinion,” O’Neal said. “I try not to get personal with guys. I like him, I like the way he plays. You have to listen to his points. He made good, key points. He said in their era. He didn’t say in my era … In my era, [the Warriors] would have been the six or seven seed. You had us, you had San Antonio, you had the Utah Jazz, you had Portland, you had White Chocolate and C-Webb [in Sacramento].

“But again, it’s his opinion. I try not to get personal with people’s opinions. But however, Mr. Draymond, like you said, I would’ve torn your ass up on that block.”

This is all, as always, so hard to even figure out. These are two different teams in two different eras that played two different styles. It’s fun to debate, but really, it’s just a pointless exercise that produces all kinds of trash talk.
