The Big Ticket might just be getting into the team ownership business, if all goes well for his bed for the Minnesota Timberwolves — the same team Boston Celtics champion big man Kevin Garnett found himself at odds with the owner of in recent years.
The rift between Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor and Garnett was going to stand between the Hall of Fame big man and the fans of the franchise he spent the bulk of his career with as long as Taylor owned the team.
But news has emerged Taylor is looking to sell according The Athletic’s Shams Charania, and Taylor confirmed he is entertaining offers from multiple groups, including Garnett’s.
For Garnett, this bid is personal because of his stature within the franchise. Garnett wants to purchase the team and keep it in Minnesota, sources said. Glen Taylor told @JonKrawczynski that keeping the franchise in Minny is a requirement. https://t.co/zTPDteOPJy

Charania relates the bid is a personal one for KG due to his longstanding ties to the team, with whom he spent 14 seasons of his career; Garnett wants to keep the team in Minneapolis, which was a condition outlined by Taylor for any interested party.
At present, no words from the man himself on the issue beyond a confirmation on his Instagram, but check back often for updates on this breaking news story.
