All-Star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania and currently is in quarantine.
Brown, still in the process of recovering from his offseason surgery to repair an injured tendon in his left wrist, will likely miss an extended period of at least 10 days despite, as a press release from the team reports, that the Georgia native is currently asymptomatic. Already listed as out for the Celtics’ Saturday preseason exhibition tilt with the Toronto Raptors, it seems likely that Brown will also miss Boston’s preseason games against the Orlando Magic (Oct. 13) and Miami Heat (Oct. 15) as well.
Still, even with such disheartening news, the fact that Brown is asymptomatic is a massive plus when considering fellow All-Star wing Jayson Tatum felt the impact of a bout with COVID-19 last season for several months after the initial infection went away.
Celtics' Jaylen Brown has tested positive for coronavirus, team says. Brown is in quarantine.
