Several Dolphins included among 2021 Hall of Fame modern-era nominees

The reality of the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2020 hasn’t really had a chance to settle in just yet — mainly because the induction ceremony has been placed on the back burner amid the ongoing coronoavirus pandemic. But while the class of 2020 has yet to have their day in the spotlight, the Pro Football Hall of Fame is already beginning their preparations to decide on the class of 2021 — Modern-era nominees for next year’s class have been revealed.

For the Miami Dolphins, there are several prominent names that are on the 130-player list. Here are all of the the former Miami Dolphins to make the earliest of cuts.

Zach Thomas

Thomas should be a familiar face for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, given that he was a finalist for the Class of 2020 and has been a regular in the voting process for the past several years. Thomas served as the cerebral heartbeat of Miami’s defense and his intelligence on the field earned him the respect of peers such as Peyton Manning and Kevin Mawae — both of whom are in the Hall of Fame already.
