Seth Rollins has dominated WWE since The Shield’s arrival in 2012, winning titles while becoming one of the company’s top talents. Now, it seems he wants to rule another part of the entertainment industry.
Marvel Studios has begun filming “Captain America: New World Order” in Atlanta, and photos and videos from set have revealed that Rollins is playing a role as a member of the Serpent Society. Despite the cast members usually being confirmed, his role has yet to be made official.

Rollins has apparently been given the biggest non-wrestling role of his career, starring in a Hollywood blockbuster for one of the highest grossing movie studios. Although it may be a minor part, it could be the start of something great for Rollins outside the ring if all goes well.
In the superhero subgenre, Rollins has plenty to follow up on from other WWE stars who have acted in these movies, namely Dave Bautista, who just wrapped up a third “Guardians of the Galaxy” film. Other movies he has appeared in include “Blade Runner 2049” and “Dune.”
John Cena has also achieved recent superhero success, as Peacemaker in the DC Universe. The Transformers and Fast and Furious film franchises have even featured the 46-year-old.
In general, many WWE Superstars have tried their hand at movies — some finding greater success than others. It’s a transition from acting in the squared circle to a major production, that will go to thousands of movie theaters across the country, and sometimes the world, but some have successfully pulled it off. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, one of Hollywood’s top action stars, is the obvious success story.
Rollins’ next stop is WWE Night of Champions, when he faces AJ Styles for the returning World Heavyweight Championship on May 27. A “new world order” may not be established, but he could become the face of the Raw brand soon.
