The Aggies snap No.7 Arkansas’s 10-straight conference series win streak by taking the series 2-1 moving to 16-8 on the year. It was off to a rough start, but Texas A&M ended the weekend with a solid start to SEC play.
game one recap
This is not how Trisha Ford wanted to start off the Conference play. The reigning SEC champion would get out to a fast start by retiring the Aggies in order in the top of the first inning, then follow up with five runs in the bottom of the first.
Texas A&M would have multiple chances to answer through five innings, but they would leave five runners on base. Unable to get any runners across the place during the top of the 5th inning led them to be run-ruled 8-0. Losing the first game of the series.
Final Score: Aggies 0, Razorback 8 – W: Delce, Chenise (9-2); L: Kennedy, Emiley (5-2)
Final: Texas A&M 0, Arkansas 8

game two recap
Looking to get back on track the Aggies almost had a complete 180 keeping Arkansas scoreless and only allowing three hits during the whole game. They still had a few struggles while hitting with runners in score position, but their defense was lights out producing three double plays.
The first run didn’t come until the top of the fourth when Riley Valentine came to the plate. With two outs she smashed a home run to left field and knew it immediately putting Texas A&M up 1-0.

The Aggies would make quick work of Arkansas going three up three out. Morgan Smith awarded the defensive play with RBI double to right center allowing Trinity Cannon to score extending the Aggie lead 2-0. Arkansas would try to answer in the sixth, but they would ground into a double play to end that inning.
In what’s starting to become a theme the ice-veined Emily Leavitt closes out the game with outstanding pitching. In the bottom of the seventh against a desperate Razorback team, Leavitt went to work. She struck out the first batter, then allow a base hit putting the tying run at the plate. It didn’t matter Leavitt stuck out the next two batters to win the game and tie the series at one apiece.

game Three recap
The Texas A&M softball team and Trisha Ford made a statement today. After getting run-ruled in game one of the series the Aggies returned the favor in a very convincing 9-1 win over Arkansas.
The Aggies start the scoring off early with a homerun by, my game MVP, Trinity Cannon in the first and Mogan Smith in the second. But Arkansas is a top-ten team for a reason and would add run off a double to make the score 2-1. They wouldn’t cross the plate again for the rest of the game.

On the other hand, the Aggies exploded in the top of the third breaking the game wide open. Julia Cottrill got things started with an RBI single scoring Cannon which was followed by a single by Keely Williams putting runners on first and second. Riley Valentine hit a double to left center bringing home Smith and Rylen Wiggins followed with her own single to scoring Valentine for the last run of the inning.
Amari Harper closed out the scoring with a two-run RBI single to left field to put the Aggies up 9-1 going into the bottom of the fifth inning.

Much like game two Leavitt once again was in the position to close out the game this time much earlier and she would answer the call again. Arkansas popped up to 2nd for the first out then Leavitt struck out the second batter. Following a base hit Leavitt would force a grounder to third base for an easy out securing the game and series win.
Final Score: Aggies 9, Razorbacks 1 – W: Leavitt, Emily (4-2); L: Delce, Chenise (9-3)
