Senior Cornerback Faion Hicks declares for the NFL draft

Senior Cornerback Faion Hicks declares for the NFL draft.

Wisconsin senior cornerback Faion Hicks has decided to forgo his sixth season of eligibility, and instead declare for the 2022 NFL draft.

Hicks is a former three-star recruit out of Pembroke Pines, Florida.

In his career at Wisconsin, Hicks appeared in 44 games, starting 39 of them.

Hicks played a total of 2,002 snaps for his career and allowed just a 51.5 REC% while playing for Wisconsin. His absence leaves a sizable amount of production needing to be replaced in the badgers secondary.

As a senior, Faion Hicks led the badgers with 10 pass deflections.

Hicks leaves Wisconsin having recorded 99 tackles, 24 stops, 19 pass break ups, and one interception during his time in Madison.

Now that Hicks has made his decision, Wisconsin will now need to replace their entire starting secondary.

Faion Hicks presence will be sorely missed next season at cornerback.
